| HISTORY |
| As
an entrepreneur for over 35 years in country NSW, Lester
Donges thought that moving to the Sunshine Coast in sunny
Queensland to retire was a good move. But when opportunity
came knocking, to go back into business, it became a great
and very important move. |
| Lester's
background as a former orchardist and manufacturer of
quality jams and condiments allowed him to take notice
when he continually came across people with allergies
to foods and in particular, intolerance to products containing
gluten. |
| Lester
was able to draw from his existing knowledge and experience
and started researching a new business concept based on
developing special and wholesome, organic and gluten free
products. |
| And
so, he started Glady's Pantry. It seemed obvious to Lester
to name the business after his late mother Glady, whose
family was a custodian of the old fashioned recipes which
made Lester famous with his first business venture. Glady's
Pantry has now evolved and, under strict food standard
guidelines, manufactures high quality fruit and vegetable
based products. |
| Even
though another piece of his business pie has fallen into
place, he still felt something was missing. So he purchased
the popular and famous Granma's 1908 Cordial brand and
made it part of his new and exciting enterprise. |
| The
cordials have proved to be an important addition as people
with dietary problems, diabetes and children with allergies,
have been able to reduce their prescribed medication by
simply taking a regular glass of Granma's Cordial twice
a day. |
| In
this day and age, how good is that? |
| Lester
aims to develop his business and use it to create awareness
in support of his strong belief that people can heal their
bodies from allergies and intolerances, with natural and
wholesome food, instead of relying on medications. |
| Lester
also knows that his products will appeal to anyone who
simply loves good, quality food products. |
| Sounds
like all those years of research and business acumen have
given him a new lease on life that hopefully, he can pass
on to others ... looks like retirement will have to wait! |
